Information About Tripura Public Service Commission
The provision for the constitution of the Public Service Commission was first included under Section 96C of the Government of India Act, 1919. Thereafter, in 1923, the ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted with the aim of formulating the principles/terms and conditions of the Public Service Commission. After this, according to the recommendations of the ‘Lee Commission’, the Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time on 1 October 1926. The Lee Commission also recommended the establishment of Provincial Public Service Commissions.
The country’s third-smallest state, it covers 10,491 km (4,051 sq mi) and is bordered by Bangladesh to the north, south and west, and the Indian states of Assam and Mizoram to the east.
