Information About National Health Mission
National Rural Health Mission (NHM) is now an initiative launched by the Government of India under the National Health Mission to address the health needs of under-served rural areas. The National Health Mission was launched by the Government of India in 2005 by merging the National Rural Health Mission and the National Urban Health Mission.
It is headed by the Mission Director and supervised by the National Level Monitors appointed by the Government of India. Rural Health Mission (NHRM) and the recently launched National Urban Health Mission (NUHM).
